RESOLVING PLAYS ON THE PARK CHART

(1)

Sandy Koufax (top of the screen) is pitching to a right handed batter (not shown) with a runner on 1st base. The dice roll is 26. Dice rolls of 1-25 are on the Batters card. Dice rolls of 26-50 are on the Pitchers card.

Checking Koufax's card for dice roll 26 under the RHB/RUNNERS-ON column, yields a result of SF7. The batter has hit a looping fly ball to left field that has the potential of dropping in for a base hit. The left fielder (not shown) is a 3 rated fielder, and he races in towards the infield in an effort to catch the ball.

The dice are rolled a second time and the result is 13. In checking the Park Chart, refer to the SF (Short Fly) section, which is on the lower half of the front chart. Next, refer to column 3 (which represents the 3 rated left fielder). Now, scroll down column 3 until you come to the #13 dice roll. Here you find that a result of 13-45 yields an OUT. The left fielder has successfully caught the ball, stealing a potential hit from the batter.

(2)

Sandy Koufax (top of the screen) is pitching to a left handed batter (not shown) with the bases empty. The dice roll is 39. Dice rolls of 1-25 are on the Batters card and dice rolls of 26-50 are on the Pitchers card.

Checking Koufax's card for dice roll 39 under the LHB/NONE-ON column, yields a result of L9. The batter has hit a long fly ball towards right field that has the potential of going out for a home run. The right fielder (not shown) is a 1 rated fielder, and he races towards the warning track in an effort to catch the ball.

The dice are rolled a second time and the result is 27. In checking the Park Chart refer to the L (Long Fly) section, which is on the lower half of the back chart. Next, refer to the left side of the chart and find the #1 rated right fielder (he's grouped with the #2 and #4 rated fielders). Now, scroll down the RIGHT field column, until you come to the #27 dice roll. Here you find that a roll of 1-35 results in a home run. The batter has successfully hit one out, into the right field bleachers, against Koufax.
